Born in Asheville, N.C., she was a daughter of Benedetto William Mongiovi and Ada Mae (Hunnicutt) Mongiovi.
After retiring with her husband from the delicatessen business in New Jersey, she was employed by Belk in Harrisonburg.
In addition to her parents of Elkton, she is survived by her husband, Edward M. Bussiere; three sons, Edward L. Bussiere of Harrisonburg, Daniel M. Bussiere of Staunton, and Gregory S. Bussiere of Churchville; two brothers, Phillip Mongiovi and Lawrence Mongiovi, both of New Jersey; and six grandchildren.
A funeral service was conducted Friday in the chapel of Bear Funeral Home by Pastor Bobby Campbell, with burial in Green Hill Cemetery.
The family received friends Thursday in the funeral home, and other times at the home of Greg and Jill Bussiere, 40 Buffalo Gap Hwy., Churchville.
