[1] - Bessie Bussiere (nee Reina), 88, of Pittstown, N.J., passed away at home in the loving care of her daughter, Renee Bussiere, and nieces, Frances Spino-Robertson, Carmella Spino-Helminski and her husband, Robert D. Helminski, with the aid of Hunterdon Hospice. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the funeral from the Corsentino Home for Funerals, 620 Second Ave., corner of John Street, Elizabeth, N.J., on Wednesday, April 24, 2013, at 9:15 a.m., thence to Saint Anthony's R.C. Church in Elizabeth, where at 10:30 a.m. a Funeral Mass will be offered. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. Entombment will be at Rosedale Cemetery, Linden, N.J. Bessie was born and raised in Elizabeth, N.J. She moved to Hunterdon County in 1982. She was vice president of Supreme Auto Body in Avenel, N.J., before retiring in 1998. Bessie had a passion for volunteer work. She volunteered with the American Red Cross Blood Bank. She was an activity volunteer at Country Arch, as well as a teacher's aide with the Lester Wilson Elementary School in Pittstown, N.J. She was a communicant of Saint Catherine of Siena Church, Pittstown, N.J. Bessie was an avid reader who enjoyed traveling. Most of all she adored her family. She was known as the "glue" of the family; she knew every date or fact pertaining to the history of the family. She will be greatly missed by all. A devoted and loving mother and grandmother, she is survived by her daughter, Renee Bussiere, and son, Leo Joseph Bussiere, and grandchildren, Leo Edward, Zachary James and Sean Thomas Bussiere. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Leo L. Bussiere; a sister, Josephine Spino, and brothers, Charles, James, Joseph and Julius Reina.
